To be qualified for the admission to the Faculty a credit grade is required in seven of the subjects of the Secondary School Certificate (Science or Arts Sections) in one certificate, with one index number and for the same specified year. The Faculty awards the B.Sc. General degree in four years and the B.Sc. Honours degree in five years.
 

The Faculty awards  the Post Graduate Diploma in Economics, Political Science and Social Anthropology. The system of the study is based on two parts: the prescribed courses, and a supplementary research considered as the graduation project. To register for the post Graduate Diploma candidates must have obtained a B. Sc. General degree from the University of Khartoum or its equivalent.
 

As for the M.Sc. degree candidates must have obtained a B.Sc. Honours degree or equivalent, or must have passed a qualifying examination from the University of Khartoum in the case of a general degree. The M.Sc. degree is awarded in the following specializations: Economics, Econometrics and Social Statistics, Political Science, Social Anthropology and Sociology. The study is by research. Recently, a programme for an M.Sc. degree through taught courses has been approved.
 

As for the Ph.D. degree, candidates must have obtained the M.Sc. degree from the University of Khartoum or its equivalent The Ph.D. degree is awarded by research in the following specializations: Economics, Econometrics and Social Statistics, Political Science, Social Anthropology and Sociology.
