Admission Requirements |

1- |
To be qualified
for the admission to the Faculty a credit grade is required in seven
of the subjects of the Secondary School Certificate (Arts Sections)
in one certificate, with one index number and for the same specified
year.

2- |
To register for the Post Graduate
Diploma candidates must have obtained a B.A. degree with a grade of
Distinction or Very good. The duration of the study by courses is
for a full one year, covering the following specializations: Arabic,
English, Translation and Arabicization, Psychology, Library and
Information Sciences.

3- |
To register for the M.A. degree
candidates must have obtained a B.A. Honours degree or to
have passed an M.A. qualifying examination at the University of Khartoum
or its equivalent. The M.A. degree by courses is awarded in the
following specializations: Arabic Language, English Language,
Translation and Arabicization and Diplomatic Studies.

The M.A. degree by
research is awarded in the following specializations: Arabic
Language, English Language, French Language, Russian Language,
Linguistics, Geography, History, Archaeology, Philosophy, Psychology
and Islamic Studies.

5- |
The Ph.D. requires
an M.A. degree from
the University of Khartoum
or its equivalent. Ti is awarded by research in the following
specializations: Arabic Language, English Language, French Language,
Russian Language, Linguistics, Geography, History, Archaeology,
Philosophy and Psychology. |
