The University consists of the Administration, the Academic Staff, the graduates and the students.

The Chancellor
  The Head of the State is the Chancellor of the University and as such is vested with the power of the general surveillance thereof.
 
     
 
The Council
  The University Council is composed of 40 internal and external members. The Council concerns itself with the formulation of policies and plans to develop the University. It exercises general control over the finance of the University, approves the creation of colleges and institutions and the rules and regulations governing such bodies
 
     
 
The Senate
  The University Council is composed of 40 internal and external members. The Council concerns itself with the formulation of policies and plans to develop the University. It exercises general control over the finance of the University, approves the creation of colleges and institutions and the rules and regulations governing such bodies
   
 

The Senate is composed of the top executive administration of the University: deans and deputy deans of faculties, directors of institutions and centres, heads of  departments, representatives of the Students Union and all University staff with the rank of Professor. The Senate is concerned, amongst other things, with the approval of general regulations of courses of study and examinations held by the University. It has the power to confer degrees and to grant diplomas, certificates and other distinctions to persons who have pursued approved courses. It also has the power to confer Honorary degrees and to recommend to the Council the appointment of Emeritus Professors.

 
     
 
University Top Executive
  The University top executive is composed of the Vice-Chancellor, who is the chief executive officer, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, the Principal, the University Librarian, the Dean of Students Affairs, and the Secretary for Academic Affairs.
